Frequently Asked Questions

The Appointment

A: We recommend that you shop and say YES 10-14  months before your big day. Keep in mind you will need 8-12 weeks for alterations.

Q: Do I need an appointment?

Q: Is there an appointment fee?

A: No, we never charge for appointments.

Q: How long are your appointments?

A: Initial bridal appointments & follow-up appointments are an hour and a half (1.5 hrs). This is more than enough time to have your initial consultation, select and try on gowns with accessories, say YES, do paperwork, and take all the photos with our "SAID YES TO THE DRESS" sign.

Q: What forms of payment are accepted?

A: We accept major credit & debit cards, Apple Pay, check, and cash. If paying with a credit or debit card, a 3% credit card processing fee will be imposed. You can avoid this fee by paying with cash or a check

Q: How many guests can I bring with me?

A: We don't have a limit of guests that can accompany you. However, each room comfortably seats 6-7 guests. Any guests above that count may feel crammed in our private rooms. We always recommend that you bring your key decision makers with you so that you can say YES!

Q: What is your cancellation policy and is there a fee for cancellations?

A: There is no fee for cancelling your appointment. However, as a small business that operates by appointment only, canceled appointments heavily affect us. We ask that when at all possible, clients cancel as soon as possible; this will allow us to reach out to clients that may be on our waitlist.

Q: What should I bring to my appointment?

A: This answer is easy, all you need is nude undergarments (shapewear if you plan on wearing it) and an open mind!

Tips & Advice

T: Set a budget... then stick to it! Regardless of how much you are willing to spend on a gown, you should have a "not to exceed" dollar amount. Be open with your stylist on what this number is to ensure that you are being shown all the best options.

T: Do some research! We cannot stress this enough. In Pittsburgh, brides are fortunate to have so many different bridal boutiques that offer many designers at different price points. In order to maximize your experience and options, you should make an appointment at the store that has the most options in your desired styles and price points.

T: Don't chase the "feeling". Sometimes clients get so wrapped up in attaining that "It's the one feeling" that they add unneeded pressure on themselves. Dress shopping should be fun and stress free but most importantly, it's whatever you want it to be. Some clients get emotional, some don't. Some clients instantly know it's the one, some clients need some time to think about it. Some times your crew loves your choice, sometimes they don't... and guess what, it's all ok. Just because you didn't cry or perhaps it wasn't your mom's favorite dress, doesn't mean that it's not the one or that the experience wasn't as special.  So say YES and let us pop the bubbly for you!

T: It's ok to say YES to the first dress!! It actually happens all the time.
